We'll post a CAASPP Testing details soon for April 2016. Students not taking the tests will attend class as normal. Students taking the tests will attend testing according to details provided soon.

Smarter Balanced: April 5-8, Juniors only.

Blue Ribbon School
Monta Vista has been named a National Blue Ribbon School. Only three high schools in the state of California were awarded this honor in 2014. Course Information Fair

On Thursday, February 25th, there will be a special schedule. During the Course Information Fair from 10:05 – 11:15 a.m., current 9th, 10th, and 11th graders will be visiting various classrooms and departments to make decisions about their courses for the 2016-2017 school year. 12th graders will be taking the Senior Panoramic picture in the gym at the beginning of brunch and then are able to leave campus for the remainder of the CIF period. The locations of teachers/presentations about different courses can be found here.

AP Exams
AP exam registration forms may be picked up at the ASB Desk in the Main Office at brunch, lunch, and after school from February 1 through February 26. You must have your current student ID to register, and checks should be made payable to the Fremont Union High School District. Keep in mind that there are no refunds, and no late registration will be accepted. Registration closes February 26th. For more information, view the Advanced Placement Letter to Students and Parents.

Congrats to Intel STS Competitors
Many Monta Vista Students competed in this year's Intel Science Talent Search. Julia Cho, Meghal Gupta, Ajay Jain, and Albert Zeng were all semifinalists. Pranav Srinivas is a finalist, with “Boolean Network Modeling for Systematic Identification of Deregulated Pathways and Anticancer Drug Resistance.” Congratulations to all competitors and good luck at the Washington D.C. finals in March, Pranav!
